Estrella by Newland Celebrates the Grand Opening of Lucero
On Saturday, April 27th the Estrella community celebrated the Grand Opening of Lucero, their newest village and offered a sneak peek inside Casa Lucero, their new welcome center. Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord along with SVP Bill Olson held an official ribbon cutting to commemorate the opening.

Estrella welcomed approximately 1,000 guests who enjoyed free Lucero t-shirts, food trucks, ice cream cones, samples from Café Bebida, and demonstrations from Copper State Bike & Hike. Brand new models from Taylor Morrison, Beazer Homes, and Richmond American Homes were all open for guests to tour, and kids enjoyed a fun zone with games, face painting, and balloons.
To cap off an action-packed day, later that evening at the annual Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival Estrella celebrated Lucero’s opening with a concert featuring multi-platinum 90s pop rock band Smash Mouth, who got the crowd of nearly 12,000 attendees dancing to a lineup of hits including All-Star and I’m a Believer.
