Newland Communities Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary Developing Estrella
Newland Communities recently marked its 10 year anniversary developing Estrella. While the community got its start in the late 1980s, Newland set out to transform Estrella, into the premier residential master-planned community in the West Valley in 2005. During the past 10 years, Newland has introduced a host of new amenities and signature events to the community, focused on convenience and enhanced lifestyle offerings, and plans to continue delivering upon the vision in the coming years. It has also added a variety of new builders and opened unique neighborhoods tailored to a variety of homebuyers including singles, families and empty nesters. In line with the existing growth that Estrella has experienced, Newland has major plans for the future including, introducing additional new homebuilders and further development of the community that spans 20,000 acres.
Newland officially made its mark in 2007 with the opening of the Montecito community. The groundbreaking festivities welcomed more than 1,500 spectators and partners, celebrating a significant milestone for a growing and thriving community. In 2010, Estrella introduced the gated 55-Plus community of CantaMia by AV Homes. That same year, Mountain Ranch Marketplace opened, as the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) neighborhood shopping center in Arizona, with Safeway, Chase Bank and other conveniences. Additionally, nationally acclaimed homebuilders David Weekley Homes, Gehan Homes, Shea Homes, and William Ryan Homes have all opened new neighborhoods in the past two years. Newland plans to continue adding highly regarded and distinguished new homebuilders to its growing repertoire next year.

Most recently, Newland broke ground on a second residents club, Presidio, scheduled to open in summer 2016. At approximately 18,500 square-feet, Presidio will include amenities such as a café and beer/wine bar, state-of-the-art fitness center, demonstration kitchen, quaint indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a large misted patio that overlooks the pool and mountains beyond, , an oversized event lawn, beach-entry pool and splash pad.
